Zoe Whiteside

British Ceramic Artist living & working in Shropshire, England. She studied at the Royal College of Art & Staffordshire, the historical heart of the UK potteries. She has worked from studios in London, Coventry, Brighton and Gothenburg (Sweden).

The Work is hand built using slabs of clay. No moulding process is involved which makes every piece unique. It is then fired and painted with slips, oxides and glaze. It takes at least 2-3 firings to achieve the subtleties in surface texture and colour. Ideas are developed through drawing and sketch models researched at zoos and museums.
