David Cleverly

David Cleverly attended Hastings School of Art and then went on to study Fine Art at Goldsmiths College School of Art, London.

David started out making domestic earthenware but this soon gave way to making the larger figures that we see today.

David's work features many historical and mythological characers and thier creatures. He follows the strong Engilsh tradition of pottery, and borrows from late eighteenth and early nineteenth century Staffordshire makers, such as Walton, Wieldon and Sherratt.

All of David's work is individually hand built without the use of press moulded production.
